HOW TO TRANSITION TO IN-NETWORK CARE?Steps for Transitioning to In-Network Care: Notify The Cross Counseling if your out-of-network claim is denied or if reimbursement is insufficient. We will schedule a transfer appointment at Centennial Park Counseling. The Cross Counseling will coordinate your services and records will be transferred to ensure continuity of care Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further assistance with the insurance claim process. Your well-being is my top priority, and I am committed to making this transition as smooth as possible.

HOW DOES OUT-OF-NETWORK INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT WORK?Out-of-Network Insurance Reimbursement: Our practice currently operates on an out-of-network basis. This means that you will be responsible for paying the session fee upfront. However, you may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance company. Here’s how it works: Payment: You pay the full session fee at the time of your appointment. Claim Submission: I will provide you with a detailed invoice (superbill) which you can submit to your insurance company. Reimbursement: Your insurance company will review the claim and reimburse you according to your policy’s out-of-network benefits.

HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY SESSION?The Cross Counseling accepts all major credit and debit cards as well as HSA, and FSA forms of payment. Client payments are stored within your secured client portal and processed within 3-5 business days after each session. There is a 2.95% transaction fee on every credit card transaction. To avoid these transaction fees clients are encouraged to pay via cash or check.

CAN I USE MY OUT OF POCKET PAYMENT TOWARD MY DEDUCTIBLE?Clients will need to contact their insurance provider to answer this question as each provider is different. I am happy to provide a monthly statement for you to pass along to your insurance provide for proof of services.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING MY FIRST SESSION?We we will use our first session together to get to know each other, work our way through some intake paperwork and practice policies. You will have the opportunity to share with me why you are choosing counseling and what your goals are (IF you know). This is also a time to ask any questions you might have about therapy.

ARE THERAPY SESSION CONFIDENTIAL?Yes. Your privacy is important to us, and you can trust that our sessions, as well as any of your personal information, is always held in the strictest of confidence. Additionally, anything you transmit over our website is highly secure, and stored data is HIPAA-compliant.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY SESSION?The time of your scheduled appointment is reserved for you, so if you are not able to make you appointment please contact me no later than 24hrs prior to your session time. It is my policy to assess the full fee for cancellations received with less than a 24-hour notice. If there has been an extenuating circumstance, please let me know.

WHAT IF I CAN'T ARTICULATE WHY I'M COMING TO COUNSELING?NO WORRIES! Many clients show up to their first session not knowing what their goals are or even topics they want to discuss and that is totally okay. Counseling is a place of self-discovery, so no prep-work is needed. We can figure out a good place to start once we get started.

WHAT IF I AM UNABLE TO ACCESS MY CLIENT PORTAL?Your Client Portal is a secure platform in which we will use to store clinical documentation, process billing, and manage scheduling. Prior to your first session I will send you an email with access to your Client Portal and ask that you complete the paperwork located in your portal before your session. No worries if you are unable to access your portal or complete the documentation prior to your session, still plan on attending your session and we will make sure you have everything you need at that time.

WHAT IS THE CLIENT PORTAL?The Client Portal will help us get started by making it easy for you to review my practice policies and provide some basic information before our first session. ​ If you are ready to schedule, the portal link to customize your client portal. This should take between 15-20 minutes to finish.

HOW DO I SCHEDULE MY FIRST SESSION AND/OR CAN I SCHEDULE FOR A DEPENDENT?The easiest way to schedule your appointment is by giving me a call or sending an email. It is common that your call with be forward, so please leave a message and I will get back to you within 24hrs of your call. And yes, you are welcome to schedule sessions for others. However, if you are scheduling for a nondependent, we ask the client in which you are scheduling, to complete a Release of Information form in order to remain HIPAA compliant. If you are scheduling for a dependent I recommend you attend the first session to assist with the intake process and treatment planning.
